The Roadmaster was an automobile built by the Buick division of General Motors. Buick first used the Roadmaster name between 1936 and 1958. The Riviera name first entered the Buick line in 1949 as the designation for the new Roadmaster Riviera, a two-door pillarless hardtop coupe. In 1991, Buick again applied the Roadmaster name to its full-size rear-wheel drive sedan and station wagon models as a replacement for the Buick Estate.
